Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), is going to launch “FBCCI Technology Center” (Tech C) to boost cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises (CMSMEs) and startups.
The country’s apex trade body wants to do this by leveraging tech innovations that drive economic growth.
Tech C is going to be launched to highlight technology’s role in the economy and advocate for rational policy solutions that drive economic growth, spur innovation, and create jobs.
It plans to collaborate and complement the existing startup ecosystem players in Bangladesh.
The main purpose of the initiative is to curate startups and create “Impact Tech Preneurs” who can build a digital ecosystem, solve social problems of masses, have explosive growth, and show measurable and transformative impact.
To train startups, FBCCI has signed agreements with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Accelerating Asia, Seneca College, and the University.
The inaugural ceremony of Tech C will be held at FBCCI Motijheel Icon on Sunday with Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni as the chief guest, says a statement.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak will be the special guest, and FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim will chair the program.
