His literary journey began in the 1950s when he contributed early works to Probhati (edited by Shaheed Ali and Zebunessa) and Oggota (edited by Fozley Lohani). Prior to this, Mikail held key administrative positions, including roles as Director and Director General (Administration) at the Prime Minister’s Office between 2009 and 2012. His extensive experience includes serving as a Magistrate, UNO (Upazila Nirbahi Officer), ADC (Additional Deputy Commissioner), Charge Officer, and Press Officer at the Settlement Press.
Mikail’s influence extends beyond the government sector. He is currently an Independent Director at Energypac Power Generation Plc and has previously served as:
