The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has said the proposed budget doesn’t reflect the reality of the time.

“It (budget) was a business as usual,” said the CPD in its instant reaction on the proposed budget for fiscal 2020-21 in a virtual meeting soon after the budget.

Professor Mustafizur Rahman, distinguished fellow of CPD, talked on behalf of the think-tank.

He said, “The country is passing through some risks in major areas, such as health, economic and social and humanitarian, but the proposed budget did not address those concerns.”

The CPD also said the tax collection target is unrealistic.
