The government has allocated Tk1,478.93 crore in the proposed national budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year which is Tk22.37 crore more than the current fiscal year, for the development of youths and sports. “I propose an allocation of Tk1,478.93 crore in the next year’s budget for the development of youths and sports,” said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal while placing the budget for the next financial year on Thursday. In the proposed budget Tk233.29 crore has been allocated for development work while Tk1,245.64 crore was allocated for operating issues, reports BSS. Kamal in his speech said the government is playing an important role in the development of nationwide infrastructure for sports and culture to organize different types of competitions and events.
